About the role
* Deliver an engaging Music Program for Prep to Year 6 students
* Lead the Junior Choir

* Permanent, part-time position (0.2 FTE) – day is flexible

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
* degree level qualification or higher in Education/Teaching (essential) and qualifications in Music (desirable)
* skills and experience in the teaching of Music
* ability to lead the school’s Junior Choir
* develop and maintain a Music curriculum that meets the requirements of the Australian Curriculum
* knowledge of how to plan and teach a curriculum that develops 21st century learning skills, with a particular emphasis on the areas of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication
* commitment to maximising student learning as demonstrated through the delivery of high-quality teaching
* capacity to be innovative in the differentiation of learning experiences for students
* capacity to develop sustained and trusting relationships with staff members, students and parents
* commitment to collaborate with members of staff to build a team environment that supports student learning
* commitment to personal professional development
* understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Christian school education.
