We are looking for a someone to join our Scheduling Team, to help support our ever growing team of Homecare Assistants.
The role is based in our Bispham Office, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. You will also be part of the on-call rota which involves taking the on-call phone home on some evenings and weekends. Being a driver is essential for the role.

Our care coordinators are allocated a specific area of responsibility and by working closely with each other provide the day-to-day support for our care team.
* Duties of the care coordinator responsible for scheduling include, but are not limited to: Answering incoming calls in a positive, happy, professional, unrushed, and pleasant manner making the caller feel important and special
* Ensure that all your clients care calls have staff allocated to undertake them
* Keep on top of the unassigned care calls
* Cover care calls for staff when sickness or other problems arise
* Keep continuity for clients and as small a team of regular Homecare Assistants as possible
* Never leave the office with care calls still unassigned for the next three days
* Do any care calls which you are unable to cover
* Support the Homecare Assistants to deliver the care in whatever way is required
* Deal with and action any day-to-day issues that arise in your client's care
* Schedule any changes to existing client's packages of care
* Proactively improve the schedules
* Proactively create better runs for Homecare Assistants and better hours
* Proactively reduce travel time and mileage for the Homecare Assistants
* Proactively improve continuity for clients by having their favourite Homecare Assistants most frequently
* Schedule new clients onto the system and input all their information
* Manage all holiday requests from Homecare Assistants and cover the calls
* Feed back to the Homecare Assistants and family to let them know about any actions you have taken
* Track your clients in hospital and ensure the schedules accurately reflect this
* Arrange introductions for Homecare Assistants going to a client for the first time
* Inform the Client Experience Coordinator and Care Manager if significant issues arise which requires a full formal service review rather than being just a day-to-day issue
* Build positive collaborative relationships with our partner organisations such as Occupational Therapists, District Nurses and GPs
* Ensure all our clients are happy and have a great experience of their care
* Contribute to staff retention
* Participate in a share of the on-call rota out of hours
* Promoting the good name of Westmorland Homecare in the community
* Any other activities that may be necessary to meet the needs of the business
