Due to growth, Medivet is seeking a well-rounded, Veterinary Surgeon to work around the Region 13 area (Faygate and surrounding). This full-time role requires a candidate with a full, clean driving license, willing to work across various branches with friendly, dynamic teams. The position involves 40 hours per week, typically 10 hours per day over 4 days, with shifts scheduled on set days to build a positive client base.
The ideal candidate will be a GP vet with at least 3 years of UK experience. Join our dedicated, supportive team where patient care is at the core of our practice.

Responsibilities
Client Care
* Deliver exceptional care to clients daily.
* Handle client complaints and concerns effectively.
* Provide updates to clients regarding patient care after procedures.
* Ensure clients are informed about out-of-hours (OOH) or enhanced care.
Patient Care
* Conduct consultations and procedures.
* Monitor and be accountable for patient care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as needed.
* Maintain accurate patient records.
* Coordinate clinical handovers and transfer arrangements for OOH or enhanced care.
* Prescribe medication and perform dispensing checks.
* All care to be performed under supervision of the vet/lead vet, aligned with clinical competence.
Standards and Compliance
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and practice standards.
* Implement appropriate veterinary and nursing standards.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Commercial Performance
* Prepare accurate estimates and ensure payment is received.
* Minimize debt and support client payment plans.
* Utilize clinical skills effectively to maximize capacity.
Communications
* Conduct engaging clinical meetings with teams.
Clinical Leadership
* Mentor and develop colleagues as needed.
* Share best practices within and across clinics.
* Support and mentor veterinary graduates and nursing teams.
Clinical Administration
* Ensure correct lab test procedures.
* Escalate issues to the Practice Manager when necessary.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* RCVS registered vet surgeon.
