Join Our NHS Dental Team as a Band 4 Dental Nurse
Are you seeking an exciting career within the NHS? Are you patient-focused and committed to delivering high-quality dental care? We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking dental nurses to join the Birmingham Community Dental Nursing Team.
We currently have two vacancies for a Band 4 Dental Nurse:
1. 22.5 hours / 0.6 WTE – Working days to be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at Attwood Green Health Centre, Birmingham.
2. 7.5 hours / 0.2 WTE – Working on Friday at Northfield Health Centre, Birmingham.
The roles involve working flexibly within the dental team to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population across various locations within the Dental Service, including Birmingham Dental Hospital (BDH), Community Dental Services (CDS), Mobile Clinics, and other external sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide chairside assistance to clinicians.
* Perform clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.
* Maintain high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
* Prepare and monitor patients before and during treatment, providing pre- and post-operative instructions.
* Care for dental equipment and instruments, arranging repairs as needed.
* Ensure medical emergency drugs and equipment are available and up-to-date.
* Assist during general anaesthetic and exodontia sessions, providing postoperative instructions.
* Provide oral health education to patients.
* Support the Senior Dental Nurse and the smooth running of the Dental Service.
* Support and supervise apprentice nurses and undergraduate groups.
