A vacancy has arisen in ward 1 St Andrews Community Hospital. An opportunity has arisen for a registered Staff Nurse with a keen interest in cardiology and acute medicine to join the nursing team on ward 21/23. While experience in cardiology would be advantageous it is not essential. The successful candidate will rotate across the cardiology floor which includes Ward 21 (CCU) and Ward 23 CCU is an 8 bedded inpatient area caring for patients requiring close Cardio monitoring. Alongside our 8 patients, we also monitor patients within Victoria Hospital who require Telemetry Monitoring. Ward 23 is a 26 bedded Cardiology and Medical Ward. We care for patients with a wide variety of acute cardiac conditions from Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrthymias and Heart Failure. As well as providing a GP assessment service Monday to Friday. Ward 23 is a fast paced busy acute general medical/cardiology ward with 26 beds that includes patients with cardiac conditions and a wide range of cardiac conditions. You will be supported to undergo training in all aspects of cardiac nursing. This is delivered by our Senior Nurses, ANP and Specialist Nursies. This post is 37 hours a week with internal rotation dayshift and nightshift. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
