Harwich, Essex | £35,000 - £45,000 DOE | Permanent | Full-Time | Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–16:00
Are you an experienced SolidWorks CAD Designer looking for your next challenge, or a recent graduate keen to build a career in engineering design?
Our client is a specialist engineering and fabrication company based in Harwich, delivering bespoke manufactured solutions to customers across a range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a SolidWorks CAD Designer to join their design team.
The Opportunity:
* Working closely with manufacturing and production teams, you'll be responsible for producing detailed CAD designs and technical documentation for fabricated steelwork, sheet metal products and acoustic enclosure projects.
* This role offers the opportunity to work on varied, bespoke projects from concept through to manufacture within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
* Produce BOMs, fabrication packs and production documentation
* Design sheet metal components and fabricated steel structures
* Support projects from design through to manufacture
* Liaise with workshop and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
* Maintain drawing revisions and technical documentation
* Provide occasional support for installation drawings and site-related queries
What We're Looking For:
* Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and 2D drawing production - Essential
* Understanding of fabrication, sheet metal or manufacturing processes
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with workshop and production personnel

* Engineering Graduates, Junior CAD Designers with SolidWorks experience

Location:
