Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Revit Technician to support the delivery of secure infrastructure and custodial facility projects. The successful candidate will produce accurate structural BIM models and drawings for prison developments, refurbishments, and extensions, ensuring compliance with project specifications, security standards, and construction regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed structural models and drawings using Revit in accordance with BIM standards.
Develop GA drawings, reinforcement details, and fabrication information from engineer mark-ups and calculations.
Coordinate models with architectural, MEP, and security systems disciplines.
Participate in clash detection and model reviews.
Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control procedures.
Ensure designs comply with relevant structural codes, BIM protocols, and security construction requirements.
Support engineers with technical detailing and design development.
Attend coordination meetings and liaise with project stakeholders where required.
Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structures) and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of structural detailing principles (RC, steel, masonry).
Experience working within BIM Level 2 or ISO 19650 environments.
Ability to interpret engineering calculations and sketches.
Knowledge of UK building regulations and structural standards.
Experience producing coordinated construction drawings.
Desirable Experience
Previous work on custodial, justice, defence, or high-security facilities.
Familiarity with secure site protocols and clearance processes.
Experience using Navisworks or other clash detection software
