Are you an experienced Quality/Food Technical Manager looking to work for one of the fastest growing retailers?
ALDI is looking for someone who is used to driving change in their current role and is an expert in bringing products to market.
You will be an experienced Senior Technical professional, with substantial previous experience in Retail Technical, Food Service or Food Manufacturing.
You will be a strong people manager with excellent leadership skills. Good communication is key to this role as you will need to influence at all levels within the business and across the supply chain. Using data to drive decision making is part of our DNA. You will be able to demonstrate commercial soundness in technical decisions and possess a deep understanding of EU and UK food legislation, ensuring safe, legal and quality products for customers. This will be supported by a strong industry network.
Your New Role
* You will lead a team of Quality Assurance Assistants, being a strong people manager and influencing across the business and supply chain.
* As Quality Assurance Manager you will underpin our future growth, using data to drive decision making and making commercially sound technical decisions.
* You will demonstrate competency to deliver safe, legal and quality products, supported by a strong industry network and a track record of delivering projects on time and driving business change.
* Having previously demonstrated the ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional FMCG environment, your commercial and technical decision‑making will be critical.
About You
* Science Degree
* Level 3 HACCP or equivalent
* Extensive technical experience in Retail, Manufacturing, Food Service or Quality Assurance
* Currently holding a Technical/Quality Management position
* Experience managing a Technical/Quality team
* Experience meeting customers’ needs through innovation
* Ability to respond to market change with strong commercial and customer awareness
* Product safety and crisis/incident management experience
* Effective supplier management including management through KPIs and technical review processes
* Experience driving business change at pace in current and/or previous roles
* Confident communicator: written and verbal
* Team player able to build strong mutually beneficial relationships
* Cross‑functional working skills
* Ability to analyse and distil complex information, summarising with impact
* Engaging, dynamic and versatile with the ability to influence at all levels
What you’ll get in return
* Salary starting at £61,985 rising to £95,655
* 12‑month Fixed Term Contract
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5pm, with the opportunity of remote working up to 2 days per week
