About Us:
We are a busy veterinary referral practice providing specialist care for dogs and cats. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is a full-time position, but we can be flexible with start and finish times for the right candidate.
The Role:
This is a varied and important role helping to keep our practice safe, clean, and welcoming for both patients and staff. Duties will include:
* Cleaning the dog and cat wards before and after surgery
* Handling and cleaning up animal-related mess (faeces, urine, vomit) and blood products
* General cleaning duties across the practice (kitchen, toilets, office, reception, consulting rooms)
* Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
* Follow health and safety guidelines while performing cleaning duties.
* Mopping floors and maintaining cleanliness in surgical theatres
* Occasionally assisting with animal care, such as taking dogs for short walks, giving fresh air breaks, or sitting with animals during recovery

* Strong customer service skills are essential to ensure client satisfaction.
* Comfortable around animals and willing to help with their care when required
