SEND Teaching Assistant - Bolton
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within primary schools across Bolton.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in the classroom.
SEND Teaching Assistant - The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and build confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
* Supporting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
* Assisting in the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
SEND Teaching Assistant - The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
* A strong understanding of additional needs and inclusive practice
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
