Transport Planner Location: Cheshire Remuneration: £30,000 - £35,000 Benefits We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics business with a strong UK-wide presence. Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a busy and supportive transport operation based in a newly refurbished office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport planning experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative team. The Role The successful candidate will support the day-to-day coordination of transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and excellent communication across drivers, customers, and internal teams. Key responsibilities include: Planning daily outbound loads and backloads Coordinating with multiple depots and operational teams Handling incoming calls from drivers, customers, and colleagues Updating customer portals and transport planning systems Maintaining accurate transport and operational records Supporting the wider team with additional operational duties when required About You To be considered for this role, you should have: Previous transport planning or transport coordination experience (minimum 2 years preferred) Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork skills Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn A valid UK driving licence Experience using transport management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
