About This Role
As part of our Corporate team, you will work on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, company sales, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements. Your role will involve drafting and negotiating key documents, conducting legal due diligence, and advising clients on corporate governance matters.
Our impressive client list ranges from care homes and nurseries to oil companies and prominent sports teams in Yorkshire. You will have full access to clients and will play a key role in maintaining and growing these relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Draft, review, and negotiate corporate documents such as share sale agreements, disclosure letters, asset purchase agreements, and shareholder agreements.
2. Conduct legal due diligence and prepare detailed reports.
3. Advise clients on corporate governance and company law issues.
4. Prepare and review board minutes, resolutions, and filings with Companies House.
5. Conduct legal research.
6. Engage in business development activities and attend networking events.
Applicants Should Ideally Possess The Following Skills And Experience
1. Be admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.
2. Be newly qualified or up to 3 years PQE.
3. Have excellent drafting, negotiating, and communication skills.
4. Ability to manage straightforward transactions and identify relevant legal principles.
5. Strong IT skills.
6. High initiative and effective time management skills.
7. A proactive, team-oriented individual with keen attention to detail.
