Overview
Ralph Lauren Corporation is a global leader in design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products. This role focuses on creating a high-quality coffee and hot beverages experience for guests in a cafe/coffee bar setting, aligned with Ralph Lauren standards.
Responsibilities
* Welcomes customers by determining their coffee and hot beverage needs.
* Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee and hot drink offering.
* Discusses the story behind the coffee beans used, informing guests about our offerings.
* Prepares and serves hot drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques (e.g., Ralph’s Roast, Espresso, Latte, Mocha, Cappuccino).
* Generate revenue by attracting new customers and defining new or expanded services and products.
* Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking equipment, and managing pastries.
* Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and arranging repairs as needed.
* Provide a unique and elevated guest experience for each guest.
* Read checks clearly and ensure orders are processed accurately to reduce wastage.
* Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming and wear the correct uniform.
* Accurately take and deliver food/beverage orders in a timely manner.
* Ensure drinks are prepared in line with company standards.
* Utilize slower trade periods to refresh knowledge of the food and drink offering and perform health & safety checks.
* Keep front-of-house equipment clean and tidy at opening and closing.
* Complete daily paperwork (opening/closing checklists).
* Enhance the guest experience through upselling where appropriate and suitable.
* Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and provide a memorable experience.
* Manage payments (cash, card, vouchers) accurately and retain receipts in the till.
* Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
* Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management.
Attributes & Experience
* Minimum of 1 strategic cycle in hospitality.
* Previous experience making fresh coffee and hot drinks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Action-oriented and solution-driven to achieve results.
* Desire to build relationships and promote teamwork.
* Flexible in supporting the business and team.
