About the Role
Female PA wanted to assist a lady with multiple sclerosis (MS) with daily living tasks, going out and attending appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Support and/or prompt with personal care, including toileting, showering, getting in and out of bed, and dressing.
* Support and/or prompt with cooking, meal preparation and eating.
* Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
* Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
* Support and/or prompt to attend appointments such as hospital/doctors.
* Support with food shopping.
* Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
* Support and/or prompt the individual to participate in sporting and leisure activities.
* Assist and encourage socialisation, participation in activities.
* Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
* Develop a trusting one‑to‑one working relationship.
Required Skills
* Honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
* Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy; prohibited use of social media regarding the role.
* Ability to work on own initiative and follow instructions accurately.
* Patient, supportive, and caring.
* Good listening skills and ability to provide non‑judgmental emotional support.

* Genuine interest in supporting people with disability/illness to achieve their goals.

Required Training
* Moving and Handling – training provided by the employer.
* Catheter Care – training provided by the employer.
Transport Requirement
Car driver preferred but not essential.
DBS Disclosure
Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Schedule
* Monday, 8‑9 am and 5‑6 pm.
* Tuesday, 8‑9 am and 5‑6 pm.
* Wednesday, 8‑9 am and 5‑6 pm.
* Thursday, 8‑9 am and 5‑6 pm.
* Friday, 8‑9 am and 5‑6 pm.
