Overview
This role is based in Exeter, Devon. The position is hybrid with a minimum of two days in the office each week. Applications are handled by ISR Recruitment. The base pay is quoted as c£60,000 per year and the actual salary will depend on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test and maintain complex PHP web applications and APIs to deliver secure, scalable and performant solutions
* Design and develop front end code with a focus on security, accessibility and delivering a great user experience
* Provide input on key technology, architectural and development decisions
* Work hands-on across the full software lifecycle, contributing to planning, solution design, coding, testing and maintenance
* Collaborate within an agile team to build and support systems that meet high standards of security, scalability and performance
* Mentor more junior team members in the absence of the Technical Lead
Qualifications
* Extensive experience with web application and API development at a senior level
* Expert understanding of microservice architecture
* Expert knowledge of PHP Symfony framework (preferred)
* Proficient in SQL and experience with MySQL
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
* Familiarity with design-led and mobile-led approaches
* An understanding of good UI/UX design
* A good working knowledge of Docker
* Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
