Role Overview:
As a graduate designer, you will have the opportunity to kick-start your UX/UI career by contributing to digital experiences for some of the world's biggest brands. You'll work alongside a growing team, learning quickly and collaborating closely with experienced designers to gain hands-on project experience across both UX and UI disciplines. This role is perfect for recent graduates seeking their first UX position or junior designers eager to advance their careers. You'll thrive in a supportive, highly collaborative environment designed to accelerate your professional growth. This role is based in Manchester.
Responsibilties:
1. Receive support from senior UX designers and the wider team, while also taking ownership of projects and developing quickly.
2. Identify user pain points and contribute to effective UX solutions that enhance journeys and experiences.
3. Apply UX methodologies such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and usability feedback to address design challenges.
4. Contribute to UI design in Figma, ensuring visual consistency, accessibility (WCAG standards), and brand alignment.
5. Maintain a customer-centric approach by anticipating end-user needs and suggesting improvements.
6. Collaborate with developers, project teams, and other designers to implement and refine solutions.
7. Assist in managing client communication and project updates, building skills in client relationship management.
8. Work closely with senior UX designers to achieve team goals, maintain design quality, and enhance design processes.
About the Candidate:
9. You're pursuing a degree in Design, Business, IT, or a related subject.
10. Demonstrates a strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design work.
11. Shows a genuine passion for UX/UI and user-centred design principles.
12. Curious and eager to learn, with enthusiasm for tackling real-world design challenges.
13. Comfortable with the fundamentals of both UX and UI design.
14. Interested in developing skills in research, interaction design, prototyping, and/or AI-powered design tools.
15. Proactive in seeking feedback and continuously improving their craft.
16. Excited to grow and contribute within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
