The Role
You'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, build technical expertise in leisure operations and pool plant management, and contribute directly to the commercial success of a growing service.

What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the day‑to‑day delivery of leisure centre operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming and well‑managed environment for all visitors and staff.
* Prioritising health and safety at all times, working in line with established policies, procedures and industry standards.
* Contributing to the commercial success of the centre by supporting income‑generating activities and delivering a high‑quality, value‑for‑money service.
* Taking operational supervisory responsibility for the centre, including providing technical input on pool plant operations to ensure compliance, efficiency and smooth running within budget.
* Ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, customer service and operational excellence.
* Responding promptly to building or equipment issues and managing the initial stages of any emergency in accordance with established procedures.
* Overseeing daily pool plant filtration and chemical treatment systems.
* Completing daily cash handling and reconciliation duties accurately and responsibly.
* Occasionally deputising across other operational roles as required.
* Give operational resilience by working across both of our Selby and Tadcaster sites on a scheduled rota basis.
What we need from you:
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings
* Awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
* Aware of health and safety practices
* Previous experience in the leisure industry (including health and safety management) is desirable but not essential, ideally covering both wet and dry facilities.
This position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks.
