Head of Business Analytics (Maternity Cover)
12-15 Months
We are working with a global sciences organisation with around 6000 users, increasingly engaged in analytics, based in London, seeking a Head of Business Analytics to start in June for 12-15 months.
This role involves working across the entire Life Sciences division to enhance engagement with analytical tools and develop analytical maturity.
The Business Analytics team provides stakeholders with accurate, interpretable, and timely solutions from platforms like Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau, supporting evidence-based decision making.
* Lead and mentor a team of 7 BI Developers and Analytics Business Partners.
* Manage activities supporting key teams such as Finance, Sales, Product Management, Operations & Manufacturing.
* Contribute to project delivery, ensuring timely analytics inputs and clear requirements.
* Support stakeholder engagement to promote analytics adoption and evolution.
* Collaborate with Analytics Centre of Excellence and Data Architecture teams to optimize system processes.
* Deliver analytical solutions from requirements to report design to drive data-driven decisions.
What they are looking for:
* Strong academic background, ideally in Computer Science, IT, or similar fields, or equivalent experience.
* Balance of technical expertise and business awareness, with end-to-end project experience.
* Experience in fast-paced, technology or sciences companies.
* Extensive analytics management experience.
* Knowledge of Tableau, strong SQL skills; experience with dbt and Snowflake is a plus.
* Confidence in stakeholder collaboration for analytical solutions.
* Understanding of end-to-end analytical solution design and development.
* Passion for analyzing and transforming large, complex data sets into actionable insights.
