Description
Accounts Payable Assistant responsibilities:
* Process and verify supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
* Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
* Prepare payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
* Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure invoice approvals are completed.
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
* Experience within an accounts payable or similar financial role.
* Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
