Kinetic are seeking to recruit experienced Electricians/Electrical Fitters for a permanent role in Portsmouth. The successful candidates will be working as part of a large Operations Division providing technical support on RN fleet assets, including modifications, repairs, and maintenance.
Role Details:
* Work on vessels that are alongside, in dry dock, under deep maintenance, or in hangers and workshops.
* Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems in accordance with project schedules to meet MOD quality standards.
Skills & Experience:
* Completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship, naval equivalent qualifications, or NVQ Level 3 in an associated trade.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and guidance information.
* Experience in electrical testing, fault diagnosis, and repair.
* Installation, testing, and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AIS.
* Ability to carry out detailed inspections and use measuring and calibration equipment.
* Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
Salary & Hours:
The role offers a base salary of £34,640 per annum, with a generous employment package. Standard hours are Monday to Thursday, 07:30-16:15, and Friday 07:30-12:30, with flexibility required for extended hours (07:30-17:30). Overtime premium rates will apply.
