Join to apply for the College Community Support Officer role at Chichester College Group.
Location: Northbrook (Shoreham) Campus, part of the Chichester College group. Work pattern: 35 hours per week, 36 weeks per year. Salary: £26,716 - £29,196 per annum pro rata (i.e. £20,995.11 - £22,944.05).

What you’ll do
* Provide first response to incidents across the College site.
* Be aware of areas of concern and assist managers or appropriate staff to adopt a collaborative problem-solving approach, implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice.
* Liaise with curriculum and support teams to provide advice, guidance and holistic support to students and staff.
* Promote positive behaviour in line with the College’s core values.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Liaise with external organisations for events related to road safety, wellbeing and e-safety.
* Where appropriate, work with CCTV, radio links or watch schemes to provide proactive support across the College and in the local community.
* Support the transportation of students to and from the train station, in coordination with station staff to promote positive behaviour.
What we’re looking for
* GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent at grade C or above.
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (e.g., Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work).
* Experience of working with young people (including 14–19 year olds) and vulnerable adults.
* Experience of working with challenging behaviour.
* Experience in delivering training in the workplace.
* Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including databases.
* Knowledge of safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, including Prevent.
