Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide statutory accounting support for the various operations under the responsibility of the Eastern Hemisphere Accounting Hub, requiring interaction with Tax and External Auditors. The role may be performed at level I or level II depending on experience, autonomy, and expectations.
* Level I operates with guidance from Level II.
* Level I will handle less complex jurisdictions from an audit and allocation perspective.
* Level I may support Level II accountants or superiors as required.
Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Prepare audit files ensuring compliance with local GAAP/IFRS for external and statutory reporting.
* Interact with external auditors during statutory audits.
* Prepare information to support annual tax filings.
* Assist with local tax filings and reconciliations, e.g., VAT.
* Perform monthly/quarterly accounting allocations in management books.
* Review management accounting entries monthly for compliance.
* Conduct online balance sheet reconciliations quarterly.
* Assist with internal finance audits as needed.
* Support submission of statistical returns or documents to local authorities.
* Record monthly fixed asset entries in statutory books.
* Perform miscellaneous duties to support shared service operations.
Education
* Minimum: Some College, HNC, or equivalent.
* Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or relevant numeracy-related degree.
Experience
* Minimum: Relevant accounting experience beneficial.
* Preferred: Accounting placement or internship.
Skills
* Minimum: Microsoft Office, basic bookkeeping knowledge.
* Preferred: Strong Excel skills.
