Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our Front Office Trading Technology team, supporting equities, securities finance, FX, or fixed income businesses. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of our Order Management System (OMS) and Delta One trading platforms, working closely with traders, quants, and other technology teams to deliver high-performance, low-latency solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for front office trading systems (OMS / Delta One).
* Collaborate with traders and quants to deliver solutions aligned with business needs across equities, securities finance, FX, and fixed income products.
* Implement and optimize trade booking, order routing, and execution workflows.
* Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance for time-critical trading operations.
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
* Work closely with other technology teams (connectivity, risk, and data) to ensure seamless integration.
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal downtime.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (8 or higher) and multi-threaded, low-latency systems.
* Proven background in front office trading systems, preferably within equities, FX, securities finance, or fixed income.
* Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) or Delta One trading platforms.
* Strong understanding of trading workflows, market data, and trade lifecycle.
* Solid knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
* Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, JMS), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and APIs (REST).
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in electronic trading, smart order routing, or market connectivity.
* Knowledge of Spring, Microservices architecture, or cloud-based systems.
* Exposure to pricing, risk, or PnL systems.
* Previous experience working directly with traders and quants.
