We are looking for someone to join our highly successful Open Spaces Team.
Formed a year ago when the Town Council took on the ownership of many of the public open spaces in the town from Somerset Council, the team has gone from strength to strength being recognised locally and regionally for the quality of its work.
The team is responsible for the maintenance and improvements of all public opens spaces in the town including the Grade II Heritage Listed Wellington Park, the Playing Field, the Recreation Ground and all play areas in the town as well as The Green Corridor land stretching from Tonedale through The Basins to Rockwell Green.
We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, take pride in their work and are willing to go the extra mile to make Wellington a great place to live, work and visit.
Working hours are 42 hpw from 1 April to 31 October and 32 hpw from 1 November through to the 31 March. Occasional weekend and bank holiday working will be required for which additional payments or time off in lieu will be given.
