Can you help me live as independently as possible? If so, please read on.
Please note that Capability Scotland is not the employer, but is acting on behalf of our client, who is the legal employer.
Hi, I'm Georgina. I am 90 years young and live with my wonderful family 5 miles from Dumfries. You will need a driving licence as there is not a regular bus service. I enjoy being as independent as possible. I have dementia and can be a little forgetful, which is why I need help with my daily living tasks, including:
* Washing and dressing
* Breakfast
* Medication
The person I am looking to employ must have the following qualities:
* Friendly
* Reliable
* Honest and trustworthy
* Good sense of humour and good conversation
* Patience
If you think this role is suitable for you, I would love to hear from you.
I am looking for support two days per week and every alternate weekend. Typically, I have two hours in the morning to get up early, get ready, and go to my club, and one hour in the evening to help me out of my glad rags. The specific hours will be discussed at the interview, as you would work alternate days from my other personal assistant. A sample rota is below, but it may vary:
* Wednesday 7:45 am - 9:45 am and 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
* Thursday same as Wednesday
* Every alternate weekend
* Holiday cover when required
I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
If you are successful, you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and the names of two referees.
You will also need to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. If you are not already a member, I can advise you on how to apply.
If you would like to find out more or need help with applying, please contact Capability Scotland at anne.mckie@capability.scot or call 01387 403121.
