Due to recent project awards and ongoing growth, we are seeking Offshore Data Processors worldwide to support various operations across exciting new projects in our key regions: Europe & Africa, Americas, and APAC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for onboard processing and processing personnel, QC, and management of all relevant acquired data, including but not limited to hydrographic and bathymetric data, as well as the production of associated charts.
Responsibilities:
1. Process, interpret, and monitor survey data within a supervised project environment.
2. Assist the Party Chief with the execution of assigned work and tasks.
3. Use and interpret data acquisition equipment.
4. Manage and perform specific job tasks as directed by the Party Chief or Project Manager.
5. Assist new and current employees in performing their work safely and according to procedures.
6. Train and adhere to Sulmara or client-specific requirements.
7. Coordinate and communicate effectively with the party chief, crew members, and project managers.
8. Maintain a good understanding of online navigation and data logging systems.
9. Utilize data storage structures effectively.
10. Implement and monitor data and report quality control systems.
11. Possess advanced computer-aided drafting skills for charting.
12. Hold qualifications in an appropriate engineering or IT-related field, or possess relevant technical/military experience and certifications.
13. Demonstrate good IT literacy, teamwork, and communication skills.
14. Have in-depth knowledge of survey IT and networking.
15. Understand underlying IT principles and mechanisms thoroughly.
16. Obtain all industry-required certificates to work offshore.
17. Be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas for international travel in countries where the company operates.
