The Role
To assemble products in accordance with defined build instructions for a variety of major OEMs in market sectors including Automotive, Clean Energy, Communication & Broadcasting, Consumer, Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, IP Development Platforms, Medical, Scientific Research & Space.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assemble products following defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standards.
2. Document any deviations from IPC-A-610 standards clearly and concisely on build instructions before starting work on customer products.
3. Ensure processes are robust, clear, and consistently achieve required standards; confirm documentation quality supports expected results.
4. Demonstrate training and competencies to meet or exceed expectations.
5. Adhere strictly to processes; highlight gaps or improvements for supervision, and update documentation in QMS accordingly.
6. Comply with company Quality Standards and procedures.
7. Notify supervision if unable to meet quoted build times.
The Candidate
* Experience in pre-kitting SMT machines.
* Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers.
* Proficient in load placement programming and set value checks for SMT lines.
* Ability to create or adjust component package checks for SMT lines.
* Perform maintenance on the MT line as required.
* Operate and maintain TSM and Heller ovens.
* Control solder paste.
* Handle Moisture Sensitive Components.
* Certification to IPC-A-610.
The Package
The salary for this position ranges from £25,000 to £33,000, plus overtime, for candidates who meet all key qualifications and abilities.
