Job Description:
At Swindon Borough Council, we want our town to be the best it can be. Our ambitious vision is supported by transformation programmes, with the people of Swindon at their heart. You’ll support a friendly local authority making decisions with real impact for better public services, processes, and quality of life. Join us, and Swindon will be better with you.
We are ranked in the top 10 most innovative areas in the UK and aim to reflect this in our approach. We believe in maximising research, evaluation, analysis, consultation, and intelligence to define strategic initiatives and build a better, fairer, greener Swindon for our communities.
You will be part of a data and technology-led community providing improvement initiatives across all areas of the council. You’ll help solve business problems, improve customer experience, and drive efficiency. This is an exciting time as the council develops its new Swindon Plan and transformation strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to influence service delivery and benefit the communities we serve.
We seek an experienced business analyst and passionate changemaker who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a proven track record of delivering results.
Your next role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll lead a team and play a key role in transforming our operations, using your expertise in systems thinking, change management, lean, and agile methodologies. You’ll identify challenges, areas for improvement, and implement solutions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will:
* Have functional and people management responsibilities.
* Mentor others, develop best practices, and lead community activities.
* Manage stakeholder relationships.
You will be part of a data and technology community, helping solve business problems, enhance customer experience, and increase efficiency. You will be instrumental as the council embarks on its transformation journey.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and be fluent in English, as required for customer-facing roles.
