Contract Role: Network & Cybersecurity Engineer Edinburgh (Hybrid) Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Type: Contract (6 months) Rate: Market rate Working Pattern: Hybrid (23 days onsite per week) Clearance Requirement: Must be a UK or NATO national A leading engineering and technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to support secure systems integration and development within mission-critical environments. This role focuses on delivering cyber-secure DevOps and infrastructure solutions across utility and industrial networks. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain secure DevOps pipelines and containerized environments Implement and enforce cybersecurity practices and compliance guidelines Analyze vulnerabilities and provide remediation/mitigation strategies Contribute to secure product lifecycle processes, from development to deployment Manage risk identification and ensure secure software development processes Support network configuration, diagnostics, and remote monitoring systems Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth delivery Essential Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of network security, information security, and cyber practices Experience with DevOps tools, pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) Proficient in Agile methodologies and secure software/product development Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments Exposure to utilities systems or critical infrastructure preferred Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Comfortable with remote diagnostics, logs interpretation, and support tools Additional Information: Candidates must hold UK or NATO nationality Ability to participate in on-call support and site visits if needed Start: ASAP (subject to onboarding/clearance) Interviews taking place immediately
