Learning Support Practitioner – Secondary (SEN Base)
Position: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, term-time only

The role
As a Learning Support Practitioner in the school’s specialised SEN Base (supporting children with EHCPs, ranging from general SEN to specific learning difficulties), you will:
* Work directly with students on their individual learning plans, providing targeted support within the SEN Base.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO team and other support staff to implement strategies that enhance access to the curriculum.
* Monitor and adapt interventions to support progress, independence and confidence.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment in line with the school’s values of pride, happiness and ambition.
* Be part of a broader pastoral culture where pupils are encouraged to take pride in their learning and behaviour, and staff wellbeing is actively supported.

* Experience working with secondary-aged students in a special educational need or learning support context.

* Strong communication skills, the ability to build trusting relationships with students, and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues.
* A flexible mindset, able to adapt to the varying needs of students with EHCPs and work within a dynamic school environment.
* Commitment to the term-time working pattern and full-time hours Monday to Friday.
