Title: Experienced Mechanical Engineer – Composites Specialist
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum
Location: Leatherhead or Bristol
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, time split between office and home.

Responsibilities
* Detailed finite element analysis of composite structures under extreme loads
* Developing strategies and standards for life extension
* Assessing structures against impact loads
* Creating design guidance for the analysis of components
* Providing analysis to support the design of new products
* Optimising future designs
* Lead projects and shape their direction
* Build strong client relationships
* Develop new services and business opportunities
* Mentor and support the growth of your colleagues
Essential Qualifications
* Experienced in the design, manufacturing or analysis of composite structures
* Experienced in performing structural analysis on composites and/or metallic structures
* A degree or PhD in a STEM (Science, technology, engineering or mathematics) subject
* Experience with codes and standards
Beneficial but not essential
* Experience with at least one of the major finite element analysis software packages
* Experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer‑Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre‑employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
