Team Leader
to join a well-established manufacturing business in Congleton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven supervisory skills who enjoys both leading people and being hands-on in daily operations.
The Role
As a
Team Leader, you will oversee and support a small team on the shop floor, ensuring targets are met, quality is maintained, and staff are motivated. This position combines people leadership with hands-on production duties such as cable assembly, wiring, and testing.

The Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small production team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. This hands-on role combines leadership with active involvement in production, ensuring that targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and staff are motivated and supported in their work.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate, and support production staff on the shop floor.
Assist in the training and development of new and existing team members.
Monitor workload and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved.
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all work.
Be a point of contact between staff and management, communicating updates clearly.
Encourage a positive, safe, and supportive working environment.
Support continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
Take a hands-on role in production (cable assembly, wiring, testing, etc.).
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
Excellent communication and people-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Positive, proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
Experience in cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or similar environment.
Basic understanding of production planning and scheduling.
