We are recruiting for a Area Manager MRP East CMO, reporting into the Head of Operations you will be responsible for leading delivery of Mains Replacement Projects, predominantly in the East of England Network.

Responsibilities
Key Tasks & responsibilities:
* Ensure safe delivery of the mains and service replacement, programme for your Area by the Local Delivery Partners (LDPs)
* Work closely with Cadent and our Supply Chain to achieve exemplary Health & Safety Standards whilst ensuring Customer satisfaction during the delivery of our works. Ensuring that we comply with policies, procedures and current legislation.
* Leading and managing a high performing team of managers ensuring assurance and management of the Local Delivery Partner (LDP) works.
* Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example.
* Manage the performance of the supply chain to ensure key contract objectives are delivered.
* Develop a programme of work ensuring that projects are issued, monitored, delivered (to cost and time) in accordance with legislative, regulatory, Cadent technical standards, policies and procedures.
* Executing and monitoring delivery, ensuring that we carry out effective inspection and checking, project reporting and handover documentation.
* Helping to upskill the LDPs with particular reference to SHEQ Sharing knowledge and lessons learned within the region, and with other CMOs.
* Support the Head of Operations in identifying areas for improvement, leading on initiatives as appropriate
* Manage direct reports in accordance with company policy (e.g. attendance, performance reviews)
* Maximise staff engagement through actively contributing at team talks, address staff issues, identifying development needs, deliver as appropriate toolbox talks, safety briefings and team briefs
* Ensure that we investigate and resolve customer queries, claims and complaints in an expedient and professional manner
* Undertake or assist with incident reporting, investigations, submission of final reports as well as close out of remedial actions
* Manage the reinstatement process within the area.
* Continually monitor operative's performance and foster a culture of team working and safety, creating a culture of zero tolerance of safety and compliance breaches and working towards Injury Free Environment
* Carry out standby and call out duties as required
* Carry out any other reasonable duties appropriate for the role
* Deputise for the Head of Operations as and when required
Qualifications
* Relevant 5 years experience, or demonstrable experience with a relevant qualification in managing utility street works, in a gas distribution network environment or similar.
* Valid EUSR Safety Passport
* Good understanding and experience in the application and management of permit systems
* Good knowledge and understanding of gas distribution network operations
* Good communication and organisational skills with a collaborative working approach
* Knowledge and experience in the application of gas distribution standards and specifications essential
* Experience in managing a multi discipline team
* Experience in coordination of engagement with multiple stakeholders
* Knowledge and practical experience in SHE legislation and auditing applicable to Street Works
* Has understanding and practical experience in the production and implementation of RAMS and "point of work" risk assessments
* Knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft office suite of programmes
* Demonstrable experience in managing site based staff and a remote workforce
* Due to the nature of this role, it is required that you live within reasonable travelling distance from the core area of work
* You may be required to provide holiday and absence cover when requested.
