Behaviour Mentor - Full-Time (5 Days per Week)

Are you an experienced and passionate Behaviour Mentor looking for a full-time opportunity in a supportive and welcoming secondary school environment?
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work five days per week across secondary schools in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident professional who has strong behaviour management skills, a solid understanding of adolescent development, and the ability to build positive, impactful relationships with young people.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs
2. Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised intervention plans
3. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
4. Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and academic progress
5. Act as a consistent, reliable role model within the school community
The Ideal Candidate
6. Has previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar pastoral/support role within a secondary school
7. Demonstrates strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices
8. Holds a degree (preferred) in Psychology, Education, Youth Work, or a related field
9. Is resilient, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
10. Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
