Purpose of the role
The Procurement Programme Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing IAG procurement transformation and governance agenda across all categories and operating companies.
This position leads cross-functional programmes that strengthen alignment, governance, and performance across Group Procurement, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and measurable impact on business outcomes.
The role partners with senior stakeholders across Procurement and the wider business to drive continuous improvement, unlock supplier value, and ensure best-in-class execution of group-wide initiatives. By combining strategic vision, data-driven insights, and programme leadership, the Procurement Programme Manager ensures that Procurement delivers on its transformation commitments and contributes directly to the Group’s financial and operational objectives.
Functioning as a trusted advisor and catalyst for change, this position enhances decision-making across the organisation through governance excellence, advanced analytics, and stakeholder collaboration — enabling Procurement to operate as a unified, high-performing function.
Your responsibilities
Accountabilities
Strategic Alignment & Governance
* Act as the central interface within Group Procurement, overseeing demand management and directing requests. Together with the SSMs, assume responsibility for formulating and executing an engagement strategy for the assigned operating carrier and category.
* Act as a key liaison between Procurement, Finance, and senior stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
* Lead end-to-end programme delivery, procurement performance and cross-category collaboration.
* Lead governance routines, steering meetings, and decision-making processes that drive accountability and consistency across Procurement.
* Represent Procurement in strategic committees, investment meetings, and cross-OpCo reviews, ensuring key messages and actions are captured.
* Drive programme governance, risk management, and performance tracking through KPIs and structured follow-up routines.
Transformation & Insight
* Lead and coordinate procurement transformation programmes such as Category Planning, SRM Framework and Contract Management to ensure long-term value delivery.
* Drive data-led insights to enhance supplier and category reporting, linking business performance with procurement value delivery.
* By collaborating with SSMs, Head of Category and category team members, enhance the robustness, effectiveness, and compliance of supplier performance management.
* Identify and deploy process and digital improvements across the procurement lifecycle.
* Enhance supplier diversity, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
* Provide proactive challenge and advisory to ensure Procurement decisions are commercially sound and strategically aligned.
* Ensure relevant stakeholders have access to timely and accurate supplier information to support strategic decision-making.
* Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key supplier performance metrics, trends, and strategic insights.
