Overview
Housekeeping Assistant role at Vita Group in York. Hourly Rate: £12.50. Working Hours: 10am – 2pm. 3 shifts per week, Tuesday - Thursday.
Vita Student offers luxury, comfortable studios with premium amenities. We are expanding our housekeeping team to provide a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for residents’ studio apartments while maintaining the premium site and facilities to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students, keeping studios clean, healthy, and presentable.
* Follow designated schedules and perform duties including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, antibacterial cleaning of surfaces, and making beds.
* Ensure facilities are looked after respectfully by students and guests.
* Maintain the upkeep of the premium site and facilities.
* Be on hand to deliver solutions to issues or challenges that may arise; act as a point of contact for incidents or emergencies on site.
* Maintain waste management areas in line with health and safety regulations; address and tidy hazards as required.
* Record and manage each studio clean using a smartphone/tablet, photographing each studio clean before and after the work.
* Report concerning behaviour that could indicate welfare concerns.
* Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager; assist in ordering stock to maintain inventory.
* Understand and follow COSHH regulations to protect health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience as a housekeeping professional in large, multi-room residence facilities, hotels, or similar settings preferred.
* Technologically proficient with the systems and software used to support operations.
* Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.
