As a Dietitian, you will support service users within the hospital's secure mental health and learning disabilities services with a range of conditions, working as part of a multi-professional team.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the dietetic service across the hospital, contributing to the Hospital's Nutrition and Hydration Strategy, and helping patients make healthier choices regarding eating and drinking.
With experience in managing a caseload, you will complete assessments, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes in line with care plans.

This role emphasizes teamwork, with support from healthcare professionals and access to training courses to support your career growth.
Initially, this is a part-time, 30-hour-per-week permanent role, supported by the current lead dietitian.
As a Dietitian, your responsibilities include:
* Developing and actively participating in a need-led service.
* Providing clinical dietetic services on an individual and group basis.
* Conducting assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes as per individual care pathways.
* Planning and delivering interventions collaboratively with patients.
* Maintaining accurate records and reports following hospital and professional standards.
* Communicating effectively with patients, carers, staff, and external agencies.
* Developing evidence-based therapeutic activities to support mental health recovery.
* Providing training and education as a key part of the role.
* Building strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
* Contributing professionally and liaising with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A diploma or degree in Dietetics.
* HCPC registration.
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA.
* Experience working in a similar setting.
