Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.62 per hour
Summary:
Grounds Maintenance Operative required to support the maintenance of public open spaces, schools, landscaped areas, and contracted sites across Monmouthshire. The role involves grass cutting, landscaping, litter picking, environmental maintenance, and operating grounds maintenance machinery while delivering high-quality services in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out grass cutting using hand-held and ride-on machinery
* Maintain shrub beds, flower beds, landscaped areas, and open spaces
* Undertake sports pitch marking and maintenance
* Carry out litter picking and empty public litter bins
* Respond to fly-tipping requests and follow evidence collection procedures
Essential Requirements:
* Full clean UK driving licence
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
* Ability to undertake manual labour including lifting, bending, walking, and carrying
* Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
