1. Providing 1:1 LSA support and small-group help to keep pupils engaged and progressing.
2. Working with children who may have ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, PMLD or physical difficulties.
3. Helping to create a calm, positive environment where pupils can learn at their own pace.
4. Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
5. Working as part of a team that includes teachers, therapists and other LSAs.
6. Using visual aids, communication tools or Makaton where appropriate.

No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

About the School

The school provides a highly supportive, inclusive setting for children and young people with complex needs. As an LSA, you’ll benefit from:

7. Small class sizes with plenty of adult support.
8. A focus on communication, sensory learning and life skills.
9. Access to therapists and specialist staff who work closely with LSAs.
10. A team who work together to help every pupil grow in confidence and independence.

Requirements for the LSA Role

To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant position, you should:

11. Be patient, calm and able to adapt to different situations.
12. Have some experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal).
13. Be willing to support pupils with complex or additional needs, including personal care.
14. Be a good communicator and a supportive team member.
15. Preferably hold a DBS registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one.
16. Be open to further training and development.

Salary

£89 – £100.00 per day, depending on experience.

What Vision for Education Offer

17. Weekly pay through PAYE.
18. Guaranteed Pay Scheme (where eligible).
19. Pension contributions.
20. Full AWR compliance.
21. Free CPD and LSA training opportunities.
22. A supportive consultant available whenever you need advice.
23. A generous refer-a-friend scheme.

All applicants will go through full safeguarding and compliance checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
