Role Description
This is a contract role for a Literature Tutor based on-site in Oxford. The Literature Tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons to students, preparing course material, and assessing students' progress. The role also involves providing mentorship to students, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering a passion for literature. Tutors will collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a high standard of teaching and support during The Oxford Exchange programs.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in teaching literature, including major works, themes, and authors.
* Strong skills in communication, mentorship, and fostering intellectual curiosity.
* Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and course materials.
* Experience in academic assessment and constructive feedback practices.
* Background in English Literature or a related field, preferably with a degree in the subject.
* Familiarity with the academic traditions of Oxford or similar environments is an advantage.
* Passion for teaching and helping students enhance their analytical and interpretative skills.
