Senior Planner
Location: South Yorkshire
Company: Tier 1 Contractor – Civil Engineering
Salary: £80,000 – £85,000 + car allowance and comprehensive benefits package
The Opportunity..
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary contractor (Tier 1) and work on a major civil engineering project in the South Yorkshire region.
As a Senior Planner, you will take a lead role in programme development, management and reporting on a complex scheme. You will work closely with project and commercial teams to ensure robust programme controls are in place and that contractual obligations are fully supported. A key part of this role will involve delay analysis and claims support — identifying programme impacts, preparing entitlement submissions, and working alongside commercial teams on EOT and compensation event matters.
Key Requirements..
1. Minimum 10 years’ Planning experience within civil engineering or building.
2. Extensive experience using Primavera P6 (essential).
3. Strong understanding of NEC contracts (highly desirable).
4. Proven experience in delay analysis, EOT assessments and claims support.
5. Engineering or technically-led background preferred.
The role offers a degree of flexibility, with time split between the regional office, site and home working. It would suit a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working unsupervised, managing their own time, workload, and diary effectively.
