West Cambridge | From £40,000 | 37.5 Hours |Hybrid Operations Associate Founders at the University of Cambridge is on the lookout for an Operations Associate to keep our start-up programmes running smoothly. If you thrive on getting things organised, love juggling multiple projects, and enjoy making processes more efficient, this could be your next big move. What we’re building We’re part of Cambridge Enterprise, the innovation arm of the University of Cambridge. Our mission is to help brilliant people turn bold ideas into world-changing companies. Founders is a new initiative that gives University-linked entrepreneurs the tools, networks and investment they need to build start-ups tackling global challenges. Why you will love this role: This role is all about making things happen behind the scenes so founders, mentors and partners have the best possible experience. You’ll: Keep our accelerator programmes and events running without a hitch – from scheduling and venues to logistics and communications. Manage onboarding materials, track founder progress and support reporting. Use tools like Airtable (and pick up new ones fast) to keep data and workflows slick. Liaise with mentors, investors, and speakers, making sure everyone’s in the loop. Help plan big moments like Investor Day, where our founders showcase their work. What we're looking for: We’re looking for someone who’s curious, dependable and enjoys being at the heart of a buzzing ecosystem. You’ll likely have: 1–2 years of experience in an operations role, ideally in a start-up, accelerator or similarly fast-moving setting. A real eye for detail – you spot things others might miss. Strong organisational and project management skills. Confidence with digital tools and the drive to learn new ones quickly. A collaborative, can-do attitude – you like rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in.
