Position: HGV Driver/ Drainage Engineer Location: Ham Hill Depot, Brook Lane, Ham Hill, Snodland, Kent, ME6 5JX Line Reporting Manager: Depot Manager Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00am - 16:00pm 50hour week. Salary: £12.60ph / £32,760 basic annually. Overtime paid at time and a half £18.90. Overtime to be covered after hours and weekends. £45 night work through bonus. Which means if you was to work through the night into the next day you would get the bonus on top off moneys for hours worked. Call out bonus: You get put on a schedule for call outs. £30 for a weekday, £45 per a day on the weekend. Paid Training/Induction Week: Training Courses given at induction EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Blue) EU Skills Card (Green) Principle Duties and Accountabilities: Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams Roles and Responsibilities for HGV Driver: Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers; Super Suction Jetting Tankers, Combination Jetting Tankers once training has been provided (Class 2, CPC required) Attend emergency call out situations dealing with sewer blockages, flooding and pollution Working on Private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety and environmental procedures Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to Line Manager Maintain the drivers log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures Ensure that the conditions of all PPE (personal protective clothing and equipment) remain fit for purpose Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and tool boxes and the cab Attend training as and when required Health & Safety Responsibilities Work safely and follow company health & safety procedures Use risk assessments and safe systems of work Complete basic site paperwork and safety checks Report any incidents or near misses to your manager Represent the company professionally and responsibly on site Requirements HGV Class 1 or 2 licence Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and deal politely with the public Comfortable working independently with remote instructions Desirable (Not Essential) ADR licence Experience in drainage, liquid waste, or environmental services Street works or high-pressure water jetting experience Training Provided First Aid, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, and other relevant safety training
