The employment practice is known for its breadth and depth. The team also plays a prominent role advising on safeguarding and regulatory matters in the education and sports sectors.
The team are looking to recruit a bright, ambitious employment solicitor (circa 4+ PQE) with excellent technical ability and a collaborative approach. You will work on a stimulating mix of advisory, contentious and transactional employment matters - including high-value litigation, employee competition disputes, redundancy programmes, TUPE issues and executive exits.
This is a hands-on role, and you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your matters with appropriate support. You'll also be expected to contribute to business development, write thought leadership pieces, speak at events, and build strong relationships internally and externally.
The firm is widely recognised for its supportive and collaborative culture, where people are treated with respect and individuality is valued. With a genuine focus on wellbeing, professional development, and work-life balance, it fosters an environment where people can thrive both personally and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:

* Advising employer clients on contracts, handbooks, day-to-day HR issues, and redundancy processes
* Acting in employment tribunal and High Court litigation, including employee competition cases
* Supporting the firm's corporate and commercial teams on employment aspects of transactions
* Advising senior executives on contractual terms, exits, and post-termination restrictions
* Participating in client training sessions, networking events, and blog content creation

Candidate Profile:

* At least four years' post-qualification experience in a reputable employment practice.
* Strong technical understanding of employment law with experience across advisory and contentious matters
* Confident communicator with excellent drafting and interpersonal skills
* Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a busy caseload with autonomy
* Genuine enthusiasm for client service and collaborative working

Qualifications:

* 2:1 degree or above (or equivalent)
* Training at a respected City or mid-sized firm

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded and supportive team, where your professional development will be prioritised and your contributions truly valued.
