The Mail on Sunday is seeking an ambitious and driven political journalist to join our team as Deputy Political Editor.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work at Britain’s best-selling Sunday newspaper and deliver exclusive, high-impact stories to our readers.
In this role, you will be at the heart of British politics, responsible for unearthing brilliant scoops and cultivating a wide network of top-quality contacts. Your work will shape the news agenda.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working Tuesday to Saturday. It is based in both Westminster and our offices in Derry Street, Kensington.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exclusive political stories, maintaining the high standards of The Mail on Sunday.
* Write clean, accurate and engaging copy.
* Nurture a broad network of political contacts.
* Stand in for the Political Editor when needed, taking charge of the desk to ensure top-quality coverage.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in political journalism.
* Proven track record of breaking exclusive stories.
* Strong contacts in Westminster and beyond.
* Excellent writing and editing skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
