About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer (Pre-Sales) with a strong technical background to join our growing team. You’ll play a pivotal role in producing compelling, client-focused proposals that clearly communicate our value proposition and expertise across complex programmes.
This role is ideally suited to candidates from a consulting background who have worked on technical bids in the public sector, public health, or defence domains. You’ll work closely with pre-sales, technical, and account teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive content that drives winning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Create high-quality bid and proposal content tailored to client requirements.
* Collaborate with technical experts and consultants to distil complex information into clear, client-focused messaging.
* Shape win strategies, themes, and value propositions alongside the wider bid team.
* Develop and maintain a library of reusable content, templates, and case studies.
* Ensure submissions align with brand, tone of voice, and quality standards.
* Conduct market and client research to ensure proposals are relevant and competitive.
* Coordinate inputs across multiple stakeholders, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
* Support the creation of supporting materials (e.g. capability statements, brochures, thought leadership).
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in technical bid writing or proposal development within consulting.
* Ability to translate technical content into clear, engaging, and client-relevant language.
* Strong attention to detail and a track record of producing winning submissions.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Desirable
* Experience in public sector, public health, or defence bids.
* Familiarity with structured bid methodologies and frameworks.
* Knowledge of digital services domains (e.g. cloud platforms, software development, data & AI).
* Previous hands-on technical or project delivery experience to support bid credibility.
