Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Wigan and Leigh. In this vital role, you will provide expert medicine management to ensure clients receive the highest standard of care and support their recovery journey.
Main duties
You will join a dedicated, compassionate team whose purpose is to keep clients safe while helping them return to the place they want to be. You will help manage the use, control and storage of medicines and related stationary, contribute to service development, and educate frontline teams to maintain high-quality service. You should be compassionate, motivated, able to connect quickly with clients, and able to treat people with dignity. You will be highly organised with excellent communication and time-management skills. Job responsibilities
Role: Pharmacy Technician at our Wigan and Leigh service. Responsibilities include medicine management, ensuring correct medicines are used safely and effectively, and managing the storage and use of medicines and related stationery. You will contribute to developing these services and educating frontline teams to maintain high-quality service and future improvements. You should be compassionate and motivated, with the ability to connect with clients respectfully and with dignity. You will be organised, with strong communication and time-management skills, and you should be passionate about the work.
Essential Skills
* to be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
* evidence of continuous professional development
* at least 2 years post-qualification experience in a pharmacy environment
* experience of providing medicine-related advice to clients/carers
* experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* knowledge of controlled drugs regulations
* be organised, able to prioritise and manage unexpected demands
* comfortable using IT and gathering, monitoring and analysing data
* good oral and written communication skills
* able to work alone but know when to refer to others
* able to travel to different locations as required

Qualifications / Experience
