Location: Central Bristol Contract: Permanent (Direct school contract) Start Date: September 2026 Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week), term-time only Salary: From £38,000 per annum Axcis Education are working in partnership with a specialist Alternative Provision in central Bristol to recruit a SENCo with teaching responsibilities for a September start. This is a permanent position, with the successful candidate employed directly by the school. The provision supports Key Stage 4 pupils (11–16) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional barriers to learning including ADHD, communication difficulties, and trauma-related needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who is ready to take a strategic leadership role within a highly supportive, trauma-informed environment. ________________________________________ About the Role The SENCo will play a key leadership role in shaping and developing SEND provision across the school, while also undertaking some teaching responsibilities (approximately 0.4).
