Your Role
Working as part of a team you will contribute to the overall operational performance and service standards across your area of work. You will progress cases through the court/tribunal system and provide administrative support to functions within HMCTS, with regular contact with court users, the judiciary and the legal profession.
* Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
* Create and update records on our in‑house computer system and perform data entry
* Result inaccurate courts, interpreting accurately the information required on a court file
* Check and verify documents, records, accounts, claims and returns for approval, results, statistics, plans etc. against criteria, regulations or procedures
* Collect and assemble information for returns, results, accounts, statements, warrants, statistical analysis, reports etc.
* Communicate with the public, the judiciary, other court and tribunal users and representatives of other agencies and organisations
Your Skills and Experience
You will have a friendly and approachable manner with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be motivated to deliver proactive and effective support to customers by phone and email, organise your time, prioritise efficiently, multi‑task and adapt to using various software packages. You will enjoy working in a busy environment and helping court users navigate the justice system.
