26.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday working week)
£12.26 per hour, plus competitive benefits

About us
At the Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice and community nursing services across Berkshire West, we care for individuals living with life-limiting conditions and offer support to their families. Our hospice care combines specialist medical treatment for managing pain and symptoms with emotional, practical, and spiritual support.
About you
We are seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant to join the Sue Ryder Southeast Region team. You will support the Therapy staff (Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist) in delivering high-quality, holistic, person-centered care to our service users, helping them reach their full potential. The role involves travel between our Southeast Region services, with Berkshire West as the primary base (RG7 4AB). Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
* Understanding of the health/social care sector work
* Experience working with people in a care setting is desirable but not essential
* Skilled in interacting with all types of people
* Proven experience of working within a team
About the job
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to address cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional needs
* Supporting service users with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses, including those with specialist palliative or neurological needs
* Promoting and respecting service users' individual rights, choices, beliefs, and preferences
* Reporting treatment and condition updates to the appropriate Therapist promptly and following treatment plans
